How It Works

• Your lot serves as your down payment. Lot clearing is not included in advertised prices but can be added. We will be glad to contact someone who can provide you with this service.
• We pay all closing costs if you use The First Bank.
• If you choose your own mortgage company we will include $1000- $2500 (depending upon the price of the house) to go toward the closing costs charged by your bank. We will still obtain the construction loan and pay all costs associated with that loan.
• We provide all required liability insurance and permits.
• Customer provides builders risk insurance which usually turns into a homeowner's policy once construction is completed.
• Out-of-pocket expenses to customers: a. contract fee of $600 will be refunded upon building b. a set of blueprints must be purchased ($400 - $500) c. an updated survery must be provided NOTE: Prices advertised do not include water and sewer or actual applicances. These appliances are installed free of charge and can be added to the contract.

• Contact The First Bank or your mortgage company to get pre-approved for your loan.
• Call us to set up a contract appointment.
• Provide us with the necessary documents to begin the loan and permit process.

Appointments

Jerry meets with potential home owners at his home in Vancleave, by appointment in the evenings. Not only can a customer see a sample of his work in his own home, but the customer can ask questions and communicate with the contractor directly. As you know, this is the best way to ensure your home is built the way you want it.

We will gladly provide addresses of jobs that are completed as well as jobs that are under construction so that you can observe the quality of materials and workmanship that go into a Jerry Roberts home. Since Jerry Roberts is a family-owned and operated business, it is not possible for us to maintain a model home for tours, but please do contact us for references and current job sites.
